October was a great month for us! We hit our top sales day at $99, so close to breaking the triple digits! In addition, we increased the number of templates sold by 37 and have solidified breaking $1k in passive income for 2 straight months. This is such a huge feat! Our passive income sales actually destroyed last months sales and beat our best month yet clocking in at $1,455 vs.$1,182 in August! We owe this in large part to the launch of one of our most prolific templates we’ve built to date, the Parallax Single Page Mini-Site Template. It still stands as one of the best selling templates, racking up $180 in sales this month alone.
I don’t want to dismiss the service side of things. Our service sales, building custom landing page templates, came in at $2,040. All of which came from new customers who found us organically through the LeadPages marketplace, returning customers looking for specific customizations, and directly from building custom LeadPages templates for LeadPages themselves.
However, we got some very hard hitting news. LeadPages will be shutting down their old marketplace in replace of a new one. Every single template we launched over the course of this year will be deemed unusable in this new marketplace. This is extremely hard news considering all of the blood, sweat and tears that has gone into creating each template. We’re adjusting our strategy and will come back stronger, smarter, with an improved workflow, and a much greater idea that will increase our passive income far past our over-reaching goal of $3k a month.
CLIENT TEMPLATES LAUNCHED
This month we launched 3 full custom templates and made customizations to 2 existing templates. In total, we made $2,040 in custom work this month. So sick!
TEMPLATES LAUNCHED
This month we launched 4 internal templates as well as 3 full client templates and customizations to 2 existing client templates. All of the internal templates we launched were actually FREE L(a)unch requests we received through TemplateLauncher.com or came from a boost of inspiration to just create something wonderful for our customers.
The biggest lesson learned this month was that building a business on someone else’s platform puts your business at risk of their strategic business decisions. In addition, it has forced us to brainstorm better ways of making passive income. Our bottleneck for next month will be getting everything up and running again for our new business venture. Stay tuned… we are about to make a HUGE announcement!
